5A District 3 Boys Basketball Playoffs (Consolation Game): Muhlenberg vs. Warwick (2-27-23)

Wednesday night on SportsTalk's 30 minute HS Hoops Special, the guys talked about the ongoing 2021 L-L League Basketball Playoffs, featuring the Warwick Boys as well as Cocalico Girls & Boys! Chad, Eric and Tim also discussed the District 3 rankings & what they thought each team could accomplish in the District 3 postseason (Cocalico Boys/Girls, Ephrata Girls, Manheim Central Boys/Girls, Warwick Boys)! Warwick continued their impressive streak this season, advancing to an undefeated 8-0 record with a 6-0 victory over Ephrata! In a standout performance, Bree Zoccolo, who recently became Warwick's all-time leading scorer, made a significant impact by netting 2 goals! Additionally, the team's offensive effort was well-rounded, with several other players. Taylor Hess, Karys Craver, Mara Moyer, and Miriam Jackson each added to the scorebook. The Lady Warriors continue to build momentum in Section 1 & have only given up 3 goals all season!

Manheim Central field hockey kicked the week off with a WIN, beating Section 2 foe Cocalico 5-0! Check out these highlights and keep your eyes peeled for our upcoming “Play of the Game”!

Warwick and Manheim Central braved the elements for a non-league showdown in L-L Softball! Warwick came away with the victory 11-2 over Central! Warriors jumped out to an early 4-0 lead & tacked on more to lead it 8-0 after 3 innings! Warwick's Mackenzie Ellis, Sophia Steffy & Sophie Smutz each had a pair of hits & runs to get the Offense going! Warriors Pitching Ace Kate Shaak (7 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 3 BB, 13 K) went the distance for her 37th Career Win! Central’s Kayleigh Detz had a triple & a single (her courtesy runner scored both runs)... Abbi Logan had a pair of RBI singles!
