Barons took an early 4-0 lead, but hung on against a scrappy Wildcats squad & moved onto the 5A District 3 Quarterfinals on Thursday against #8 Muhlenberg! It was “Dig Pink Night” for the annual “Backyard Brawl” in girls volleyball 🩷🏐🩷 Ephrata jumped out to the early 2-0 lead, but Cocalico grabbed Game 3… 25-18 to avoid the sweep! Lady Mounts regrouped & won Game 4… 25-15 to take the match 3-1! Ephrata's Sofia Rios had a Great serving night with 7 total aces! Martina Elliot led the team with 14 kills! For the Lady Eagles, Jaclyn Niven had 16 kills and 5 blocks!
District 3 Softball Playoffs: 5A First Round – #10 Northern York vs. #7 Warwick (5-19-25)
#7 Warwick advanced to the next round of the 5A District 3 Softball Playoffs after a 13-3 Win in 5 innings over #10 Northern York! Warriors fell behind 3-0 early, but stormed back with 13 unanswered runs in the 3rd, 4th & 5th innings! Brooklyn Nolt, Mackenzie Ellis, Katie Heisey & Emerson Overly went a combined 7-11 at the top of the order with 9 RBI, 7 runs scored, 2 doubles, 1 triple & 2 BB! Kate Shaak (5 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 5 K, 3 BB) got her 16th Win of the season for Warwick!

Softball: Cocalico vs. Manheim Central (4-19-24)
Cocalico & Manheim Central got themselves into a “Hitters Duel” AND it was Highly Entertaining 🤩👏👏 Lady Eagles took the early 6-1 lead, but Central stormed back on an 11-1 spurt… eventually winning 17-10! Riley Hostetter got the Win & had 8 K’s for the Lady Barons, who made it 5 wins in a row!
