4A District 3 Football Playoffs (Semifinals): Lampeter-Strasburg vs. Manheim Central (11-18-22)

Hempfield won its first League Title since 2011, downing Manheim Central 57-46! Black Knights leading scorer, Miguel Pena led the way with 21 points... Ben Troyer & Kamyn Lawrence each added 11! Barons were led by Trey Grube, who had 19 points... Zach Benner added 10!

Hempfield & Warwick's "Championship Clash" in the L-L Boys Volleyball Final was another classic match in this rivalry series! The Warriors and Black Knights left it all out on the court, battling for each and every point, but it was Hempfield who earned their 24th League Title with a 3-1 win over Warwick! The Cocalico Eagles made history in their 5A District 3 Championship Game, becoming the ONLY #12 seed to EVER WIN a title in District 3 (no matter the classification)... beating #2 Exeter 34-14! It's Cocalico's 4th title in program history, 1st for head coach Bryan Strohl! Eagles last won the 5A Title in 2019!

They now move onto the 5A State Semifinals against Pine-Richland on Friday, December 2! The game will air LIVE on Blue Ridge 11 TV from Mansion Park in Altoona at 7pm!

Manheim Central gets the WIN & the Section 3 Title after knocking off rival Cocalico... 56-27! It’s the Lady Barons’ 1st Section Trophy since 2012 (they will share it with Lampeter-Strasburg this year) Maddie Knier led all scorers with 23pts, Abbie Reed had 13… Teagan Sahm led Cocalico with 16pts!
